COVER REVEAL: Feast your eyes on NIGHT OF THE WITCH!
Seriously? Just a truly stunning and beautiful book cover.
I’m not even going to tease you on this one—this cover is too pretty to deny. But I will say that if you scroll to the bottom of the page, you’ll find out about an upcoming 99c deal on one of my books, updates on upcoming projects, and much more. But, without further ado…
The Cover for NIGHT OF THE WITCH!
You can see the full version over on Entertainment Weekly, which has the exclusive link to the cover and a fantastic excerpt that perfectly captures the enemies-to-lovers theme of the book! I’m so in love with this book and the German history that inspired it, and I think you’re going to love it, too!
Sourcebooks put together this super cute quote graphic to give you a little taste of the enemies-to-lovers angle of this book, but the longer excerpt is even better…
Again, you can see the full cover of the book over on Entertainment Weekly, which is hosting the exclusive cover reveal!
Pre-Order Night of the Witch now:
Signed copies from Malaprops and Adventure Bound
Bookshop.org supports independent bookstores across the nation
Add it to GoodReads
And remember! While pre-order sales are vital to an author, library requests are just as important and are absolutely free to you! If you can’t pre-order, would you mind requesting the book from your library and have them order it for you? It’s a win-win situation—librarians love interested patrons, you get to read the book for free, and my publisher gets to track interest in the title, which helps with sequels and other future books!
Last month, I also asked you what you hoped to see in the preorder campaign. If you’re new to this newsletter, you may not know that I always package something a little extra and fun with pre-orders from my local independent bookstores, Malaprops and Adventure Bound, so if you order from them, you will automatically get something cool as a bonus when the book is delivered to you (plus the book will be signed and personalized). But I’m going to extend that a little with Night of the Witch, so make sure you’re keeping your receipts if you order anywhere (or the name of the library you requested the book from!).
The poll for what you hoped would be in the preorder campaign was tight, but there’s a clear winner…
I’m still working this out, but I will say…if you’re a fan of fancy bookmarks, make sure you’re following me on Instagram. I have some crafty ideas I’m going to be exploring in making bookmarks, and I think you’ll like them!
Upcoming 99c Book Deal!
Okay, so I cannot technically announce that one of my books is going to be on a super ebook sale for only 99c, the first time it’s ever been discounted this low. And I can’t technically tell you that the deal will be announced for a very limited time in March. But I can tell you that if you follow me on BookBub, you’ll get an email delivery of the ebook sale right to your inbox and you won’t miss it.
(BookBub is a totally free email service that sends you announcements of book deals. If you “follow me,” you get announcements of when my books go on super-sale—99c or free—or new releases, and that’s it. You can unsubscribe any time.)
The Global Quest is criss-crossing the world!
The interactive story I’m writing for StoryLoom is really going places—literally! The platform is still currently open to anyone with a Google account, so it’s still free to read…but that will be changing soon, so if you’d like to check it out and experience the fun story, now’s the time to do it!
The Global Quest is a riddle-filled adventure that is leading our trio (and a cheater tag-a-long following them) around the world.
Do you think you have what it takes to solve the riddles? I purposefully designed this game to include real life places, historical artifacts, and more. While Ellery and her friends are made-up characters, everywhere they go is a real place, and every item they discover is a real item. Which means all the puzzles are real puzzles that you could actively solve…
To give you a taste of that, here’s the first riddle Ellery has to solve:
Find an island with a city with streets but no cars, a tower with ears that cannot hear and eyes that hide the clue.
Do you think you know what island it is? I’ll give you a hint—the first letter of the island’s name is “M.” Scroll to bottom of this email for a second spoiler hint!
Interview with Voyage ATL
I was recently interviewed by the good people at Voyage ATL, and you can read all about it here!
A snippet:
…every rejection chips away at my confidence. I have had to learn to focus not on the business side of publishing, but on the artistic side. I may not always write a book that hits the market, but I do my best to always write a book with artistic integrity.
What you missed on Patreon:
I’m having a blast with the community we’ve built over on Patreon! This past month, readers got to vote on a new spell Emmi crafted as she tries her hand at breaking free from House of Hex, and we’ve had a lot of fun debates as to which spell and how to use it—I see you, chaos agents! :)
For the writers, there was a 30 minute video lesson and handout about how to write query letters, a group critique of the first 500 words of one of our member’s works in progress, and a post about how to know when to retire a manuscript…plus all the personal one-on-one critiques at higher levels.
You can join Patreon for as little as $2 a month and get multiple postings a week on House of Hex, lore behind the books, and more—plus access to all the archives, which includes all the various workshops, completed e-books, and more!
What I’m working on now…

The Second Hint to the Riddle…
Did you guess Mackinac Island, the tiny island located in between the Upper and Lower Peninsulas in Michigan? This famous island has no cars and is a fun tourist spot not too far away from Chicago.
It’s also not the correct answer. If you want to find the real correct answer, start reading The Global Quest now!
Love love LOVE this cover!! 💚
The cover looks so good, Beth! Congratulations!!! (Excited to read the book!!!)
